OK so I am finally on the path again to learning photography (after many stops and starts over the years). Previous efforts had centred mostly on the camera and initially its latest cool gimmick before focusing on the negatives and forgetting about it. So the last time I bought a camera I went for one that was light had a great optical zoom and a decentability to try custom modes (the Canon IXUS 850 IS). I took a tonne of pictures! Some good some bad but hey ho. But the Canon is practically defunct and so I am going to take a leap and get myself a dSLR. The idea is to document as much as I can – maybe that will help me stick to it!

Fingers crossed!
